Our Romance Stories Online: A Cross-State Love, By Gianni
Aug. 20, 2009
I can share many long distance romance stories online concerning the wonderful love relationship I have had the pleasure of experiencing with Sophie. This is the beautiful story of The Masked Truelovers, revealed through a collection of many romantic stories from the adventures that we have enjoyed with each other over the internet, on the phone, and during the weekends that we are together. When you have finished reading the accounts of this page and other portions throughout this website, keep in mind that these are memoirs of our pure romance. We are crazy in love with each other after more than a year, and we live in two completely different states.
Because of the internet, millions of people of all ages hope to create their own set of romance stories online through any one of multiple dating sites and chat rooms. Sophie and I were among that group of people. Communicating with that mysterious unknown person by pecking away on the keyboard is a convenient and non-threatening way of getting to know someone first before making the decision to meet in person. Online dating can be a fun and ultimately fulfilling undertaking. I would bet this method of meeting someone has been responsible for some of the best love stories online.
Our first of many romance stories that we can now share online began on the fourth of July, 2008 - the day we made our love connection. I live in Pennsylvania. But in my search for pure romance, I never limited my inquiries to women who live in my State. On this particular day, I received an email from a New Jersey woman on a Christian dating site. I had sent an “I AM INTERESTED” to her the day before after being attracted to her picture and reading her profile. When I saw that she was online that day, I started chatting with her, ...and now, over a year later, we were married on August 22, 2009 in a very special ceremony at a lovely Bed & Breakfast. We still live over 150 miles away from each other.
We are now able to share many romance stories online, which are simply different aspects of the growing bond we have experienced since we instantly connected from that first chat. ...because of how compatible we realized we are in virtually every area of life. We started to cultivate a long distance relationship by chatting online, emails, and eventual phone conversations during a period of 23 days before finally meeting in person at a midway point between our two states.
Our pure romance naturally evolved through free-flowing communication and escalating passion. We couldn’t get our minds off of each other. We chatted every day from the first moment we met. And by the thirteenth day, one of the more exciting of our romantic stories released the hidden emotion within us. The last few days before we were to meet in person, we were going absolutely nuts with anticipation. We had a hard time eating and sleeping much of the time. Both of us were awake all night before meeting in person for the very first time.
Another one of our romance stories online began a few days before meeting when I asked Sophie to be my girlfriend. So, we were determined that by meeting in person, we were only giving the body a chance to catch up with what the soul and spirit already knew. We were already convinced that a true love story was being birthed through us.
On the morning of July 27, 2008, we both left our homes at the same time and drove until we ran into each other, keeping in constant contact via our cell phones. We pulled into an Elementary School parking lot. We nervously but bravely exited our vehicles and embraced against the trunk of my car, gazing into each other's eyes for the first time. We kissed and hugged for about the next hour, bringing into existence another of our romantic stories. Sometimes people would honk their horns or yell as they drove by us. That didn’t stop us for a second. We were not hesitant.
Finally, we sought to contribute more to our new collection of love stories online. We left the school in my car, found a local church to attend together, and then spent a few hours at a nearby amusement park. We ended the evening at Perkins, beginning what will become a lifetime tradition of sitting on the same side of all restaurant booths together. For over a year now, we have only been able to be together on weekends. We miss each other terribly during the week, but we are convinced concerning the quality of our long distance love.

We can't add all of our romance stories online of the adventures of The Masked Truelovers. Each minute we are together is wonderful only to us personally. Sophie and I don’t know when we will be together for good, or at least how we may be able to spend more time together. It is a complicated situation. We both have teenage children we love and are responsible for. We both have solid careers (Update: I was laid off in Nov. 2009 and have more time in New Jersey). There are issues we must resolve, but our long distance love is still in it’s infancy and we will continue to nurture our pure romance daily until it reaches full maturity.
