Exchanging Sweet Love Notes
In Emails, by Gianni

Sept. 28, 2009

Everyday, we looked forward to finding sweet love notes in our inbox. In the beginning of my long distance relationship with Sophie, communication by email was a key element in getting to know each other. The emails started off simple enough – learning about our past, our backgrounds, our present, our personalities, likes and dislikes. But after a couple of weeks, as the passion began to build up from one day to the next, the emails would transform into love notes.

Sophie and I exchanged emails constantly in the early days and weeks of our long distance relationship. After the initial get-to-know-you phase passed, I loved sending her sweet love notes, expressions of new passions rising up within me toward this adorable woman I had recently met. She was so sweet, accepting, respectful, and “interested in me”, that I couldn’t help but start to send her sweet messages via email.

I sent Sophie the first of many of my reallllllly sweet love letters on the 13th day of our online relationship. That’s because we had just got done having our first more heated conversations in a chat room. After many days of swapping emails with each other, passion started oozing out of me during that chat. And then I continued the pattern in a follow-up email:

“The taste of your soul gives me a sugar rush, M. I can't ever turn off my computer because I am becoming addicted to your sweet flavor. I have to keep returning for my next fix. I want to shoot you in my veins so I can prolong the ecstasy.”

…and I haven’t stopped expressing myself like that to Sophie since. It wouldn’t be many more days before we actually said, “I love you”, bringing to pass what we like to say, “love before first sight”. From that day on, I enjoyed sending Sophie sweet love notes. And she soaked up everything I said and responded back so alluringly. Email communication was very important to us both before we met in person, and also after we began our weekend routine of togetherness. It’s great to have the option of email for keeping in touch with the one that you love, especially when you are in a long distance relationship. Although Sophie and I mostly communicate on our cell phones numerous times per day during the week, we still enjoy finding love notes in our inbox.

The Masked Truelovers met nearly 15 months ago and are still sending sweet love notes to each other because they still have a cross-state relationship. Sending sweet love letters is just one of the ways that they keep in touch until the day that they are finally together in the same house in the same state.
